IT-sourcing with innovation capability

Purpose and goal

The overall aim is to contribute to innovation skills in Nacka´s IT sourcing, and to develop new management knowledge applicable to a wide range of stakeholders on how innovation can be realized in IT sourcing in the public sector. This has been achieved through ongoing cooperation and dialogue with Nacka Municipality, KnowIT and involved IT suppliers. Dissemination has taken place through an open educational module in digital format, through workshops and seminars as well as through a booklet - "Guide to IT sourcing and innovation; lessons from Nacka Municipality "

Expected results and effects

Local results: Procurement with Focus on Innovation - Successful procurement. Established continued work on developing innovation in the IT function. Dissemination results - seminars, workshops and publication of Guide to IT sourcing and innovation; lessons from Nacka Kommun. Online educations module on IT sourcing and innovation.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has followed a actual procurement process and start-up phase for new IT sourcing, with the intention to support the implementation of new sourcing relationships, focusing on increased ability for innovation in the IT field. The project is based on an action research methodology. Based on the results generated in the project, the research group has developed a guide for management of innovation in IT sourcing
