Purpose and goal

Involuntary urine leakage causes significant suffering for the individual and high costs for society, estimated 2% of total healthcare costs in Sweden. Urinary incontinence is classified by the WHO as a public health problem, despite this, there is currently not enough adequate products for this problem. The purpose of this project was to evaluate, improve and clinically test an unique innovative product that prevents involuntary urinary incontinence. The above targets have been met and the market launch is expected in late 2017.

Expected results and effects

The project has resulted in the production of prototypes that have been evaluated by independent laboratories and by the affected group. Modification of the prototypes have been made based on the results and feedback obtained from the study. Clinical tests of the final prototype has been done with good effect regarding prevention and to be user-friendly.

Planned approach and implementation

Based on 40 years of clinical experience, we know that the current products on the market does not function effectively for the affected group. Our unique innovation is a product that effectively and quickly relieves symptoms and prevents urinary leakage. The prototype has been tested and the final prototype has been modified based on the feedback from the study results. Clinical tests of the final prototype has been done with good effect regarding prevention and to be user-friendly. Patent, immaterial rights and CE approval is in progress.
