Purpose and goal

LUST (Innovative solutions for knowledge transfer in energy efficient buildings) was a very successful and rewarding study. Through collaboration with a large number of specialists, the work in the project resulted in six topics that form the basis for further development in the project. The topics were as follows: 1. Courage through knowledge 2. User friendly solutions 3. Relevant data 4. The City of Stockholm preschool plan 5. Working together 6. The exploring child

Results and expected effects

The survey carried out by SISAB shows a possible saving of about 5% of SISAB´s total energy use in the preschool property portfolio. The study also shows that the potential for saving energy is greater in older buildings but the method is equally applicable regardless of the building´s age. The project is now in the developing stage and aims to develop a pilot plan that is operational in the first preschool within the Framtidens förskola concept.

Approach and implementation

The method used in the study created conditions for achieving the project objectives. By focusing on inclusion and participation, we have been able to co-operate with dedicated professionals who have contributed a great deal in their respective fields. These contacts continue to be an important resource, playing a major role in the future development of the project. An important part of our method is based on the transfer of knowledge from various individuals to one another. Therefore, we are now transferring our ´lessons learned´ via a final report, networking and workshops.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
