Purpose and goal

The goal of the project has been to develop knowledge about in situ methods and technical resources for cost effective remediation of contaminated industrial sites. Through the tests that has conducted the project goal has been fulfilled. Several methods has been tested and shown good results, especially in combination of different methods.

Expected results and effects

New methods for procurement of Consultants and Contractors for design, pilot tests and monitoring have given opportunities to test a lot of new methods for remediation of soil, groundwater and sediments. Some methods have not been tested on the Swedish market before and most methods have not been tested for tar. The project has given new knowledge in the field of komplex soil remediation. The methods that has been tested has will help the project to design cost effective solutions for remediation of soil, groundwater and sediments.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been conducted through public procurement of key competences and other required Resources in a way that allows flexibility and possibilities to change test methods and processes during the project. The tests has been conducted in cooperation between different parties and through interaction between the client and the contractor.
