Purpose and goal
A decision-support system based on multi-criteria test prioritization, similarity-based test effort reduction and test sequence optimization for automation have immediate benefits in improving time and cost for product integration, increased product quality and matured understanding on product integration testing.
Expected results and effects
Methods for product integration test reuse, integration test prioritization, similarity-based test effort reduction and test sequence optimization for automation are the major results achieved in the project. The initial case studies performed show that these results are effective in reducing time and cost for product integration, increased product quality and strengthen general knowledge on efficient and effective product integration testing.
Planned approach and implementation
The project worked well in the constellation of four work packages: project management, method development, industrial case studies and validation, and dissemination and exploitation. Also, these work packages worked cooperatively to achieve the different milestones in the technology transfer model, such as the formulation of candidate solutions, and performing static and dynamic validations in industry.
