Purpose and goal

Innovation competence and growth in SMEsThe purpose of the project is to enhance the innovation knowledge and competence through the use of design process methods. The objective is to increase growth, both among participating design consultants and SMEs. The purpose is therefore also to enhance the competence of the design consultancies to respond to the need of their clients, the SMEs.

Results and expected effects

Expected impact is that the participating companies and consultancies in 2010 have developed and strengthened their innovation processen and that the product development projects that starts that year actively utilize the result of this research project.

Approach and implementation

To achieve the impact and the result we will start with an inventory of the current methods and processes through interviews and workshops. A separate workshop is held with design consultancies and thereafter mixed with participating SMEs. In the last workshop the participants should work with conceptual innovation projects.
