Purpose and goal
By bringing together young women´s passion in the cultural field, with innovators, business advisors, researchers and entrepreneurs who together form an amazing creative process Innovate Passion Västernorrland will identify new potential careers and areas of education, with the goal of developing at least three new potential ideas.
Expected results and effects
Three of the ideas were presented to regional IT actors, after which one idea was chosen and discussed with researchers at Mid Sweden University. Young women who are given the opportunity to describe their ideas and needs for engineering and science researchers were highly appreciated by all parties and provide important input to further research.
Planned approach and implementation
Together with designers, technicians and entrepreneurs, high school girls developed new ideas for possible future professions and educational areas. The challenge was to develop a prototype or concept for the future, based on their interests and needs. New ideas were created and one conclusion from the event is - Why choose between nursery and engineering education, when a future profession may be "an engineer of the human body".
