Holographic technology in the construction process

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project is to further refine the project idea for BoldAR, and to set up a project group. The objective of the project is to, through further development of the initial project idea and the establishment of a project, create the necessary conditions for BoldArc to apply for ´Stora innovationsbidraget´. The purpose of this project has been met, BoldArc has received valuable feedback to further develop the project idea and a project group has been established. The project´s objective has been met as the desirable conditions to take the project forward has been created.

Expected results and effects

The expected results of the project was to a accomplish a more refined project idea and a to assemble a project group. As the project will lead to a refined project idea and a project team in place, a desirable outcome and the expected effects are achieved. The project team consists of both firms and research institutes. The enterprises in this project group are PEAB (construction firm), WSP Group (engineer firm), Bjerking (engineer firm), C.F. Møller (architect firm) and the research institute is SICS.

Planned approach and implementation

The project started with the analysis of relevant software and hardware on the market. In parallel, a survey was carried out to identify research institutes with relevant specialization, as well as firms in the construction industry that may be of interest to include in the project. A workshop for BoldAR was held with the contacted organizations, where participants presented their roles and their operations followed by a brainstorming session regarding the application of BoldAR. After completed workshops, BoldArc signed cooperation agreements with the selected organizations.
