Important results from the project

The aim of the project was to explore a functioning digital infrastructure for open innovation. Through four experiments and an innovation phase the project show potential and challenges in how to navigate the existing infrastructure. The four experiments and innovation phase are all positioned in the early phases of the community building process.

Expected long term effects

We have four experiment results, an innovation webinar serie and a successful working process as result of the project. Some of the experiments are now successfully applied, or in process of being used in the organisations. There are three new initiatives and constellations as a direct result of the project. One application is submitted during spring 2019 and one is in process. Another one is in discussions.

Approach and implementation

The idea of the lab was to conduct short experiments of 1-3 months, in close contact with users. Initially it was challenging to find suitable cases. We therefore had to execute a couple of workshop activities to find strong cases. Later in the project we developed a collaborative method to select suitable cases for the lab. It was also challenging to execute the experiments with the time frame of 1-3 months. We simply needed more time in the organizations to enable conditions for the experiments.
