Purpose and goal

The aim is to create growth through development of technical solutions that can be commercialized and in first case be implemented in H+, the city of Helsingborg. However, hopefully the new system and its solution will be implemented in other parts of the region and finally also exported to other countries. The goal is to use the competition for developing new solutions that can generate business opportunities within the environmental technology sector.

Results and expected effects

The competition is expected to generate new technical innovations suited for source separated system for wastewater and food waste that increase the efficiency, optimize the value of the waste, lower the cost for treatment. Innovations that increase the feed-back information, increase the motivation of using the system are also expected to be generated. It could be in form of pay-off systems and information systems.

Approach and implementation

The competition in three steps: 1.Competitors send in a short video/illustration that describes their idea. 2.After a first elimination of competitors some get the opportunity to develop a prototype/sketch. Help in this stage will be provided from the local innovation system. 3.In the end five finalists are chosen within each category Technical solution and Users respectively. Final support for presentations will be given.
