Purpose and goal

Future by Lund is an arena for innovation, visions, collaboration and concrete development to increase the generative and creative capacity. Together we address challenges within Smart Sustainable Cities and the 2030 goals by initiating, enabling and realizing collaborative driven change. The focus is there for the interaction between business, entrepreneurship, creative & driving individuals, municipality, university and has involved more than 60 partners, 6 city departements, 3 municipal companies & completed 60 projects / tests / demos.

Expected results and effects

Established model for identifying, evaluating, testing, demonstrating, evaluating innovations. Developed methodology Forming-Knowing-Doing. Knowledge of how to build joint projects and concepts. Increased competence in innovation collaboration with partners. Handles several test / demo projects per year Increased involvement of partners in the innovation culture. Increased FOI efforts linked to our themes. Several and new relevant national and international connections to cities, research and companies. Several new companies started based on the work FbL is doing.

Planned approach and implementation

Future by Lund offers, through projects and initiatives, the opportunity for different actors to share "world". Through joint learning, different mindsets, driving forces, skills, interests and perceptions can meet and create common directions & increased understanding of challenges. The future is shaped by organic growth and by increasing the number of individuals involved. Experience has shown that projects with defined issues and a focus on possible solutions work more effectively as a working method in complex environments compared to traditional bureaucratic structures.
