Purpose and goal
Scint-X develops a structured scintillator. If the pores of the silicon matrix are coated with a highly reflective material, the total light output is increased, which is very desirable for many applications. Starting with theoretical calculations and simulations, the appropriate materials will be chosen for initial experiments. After the concept verification, several iterations will be done in order to maximize the light output. The process is optimized for industrialization. Each chip is evaluated for light output and x-ray absorption. Testing will be performed at customers.
