Project duration November 2016 - May 2017
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The overall purpose of the event was to create a meeting place to visualize the many opportunities that exist through cross-border collaboration in the food industry. To contribute to more new concepts commercialized, increase interaction between actors and increase the visibility of the food sector both for investors and the outside world. The goal of the event was met over anticipation, both in hard measurable terms such as one2one meetings, participating startups and industry / investors as well as in soft values such as satisfaction and experienced benefit with the event.

Expected results and effects

Through the event, we have created the conditions for initial meetings to promote a dialogue about common development needs between startups, industry and investors in the food sector. The event highlighted both the opportunities and development needs of startups as well as for industry / investors, which we see are important parameters for enhanced cooperation both in the short and long term, ie knowing each other. In the long run, we see the event contribute to investments to the sector, as well as open innovation activities between startups and industry.

Planned approach and implementation

An important success factor for the event was the collaboration with relevant financiers, co-organizers and partners in planning the event. Through this we have been able to reach a large audience with information about the event in addition to the result becoming a broad independent platform for collaboration opportunities.
