Purpose and goal
The purpose of this feasibility study has been to reduce both technical- and business risks for the project, with the goal to deliver a realistic and solid business plan for the future work. We think that both the purpose and goal of the project have been fulfilled.
Expected results and effects
We expected a lot of attention for, and feedback on, our new disruptive technology and so we have. We have received broad confirmation that our technology has a unique potential. This confirmation has been received through market analysis and through the numerous contacts we’ve had with both clinicians and potential collaboration partners for distribution and marketing. In addition, we also received a lot of positive attention when the scientific paper that describes our technology was published (http://www.pnas.org/content/114/34/9170.full).
Planned approach and implementation
To avoid becoming blind to our own flaws, we have used an external consultant to perform an in-depth market analysis. Meanwhile, we have been active in gathering additional knowledge on the markets needs and requirements by talking to other companies in the field and future customers and users. This work has not only resulted in a good foundation for our business plan, but it has also put Astrego Diagnostics on the map already 9 months after it was founded.
