Purpose and goal
The project has had great success for several patients with chronical ulcers and for patients with reduced peripheral circulation. Clinical evaluation has taken place in several countries; early results show very good results. Some patients experience increased mobility due to better wound healing and improved blood flow.
Results and expected effects
Clinical data showing improved healing times, reduction in rest pain and reduced frequency of ulcers for patients with risk of getting ulcers has been shown. Although it is hard to prove any improved quality of life for patients, some patients have kept and even increased their mobility in everyday life due to the use of the product, compared to what would have been likely otherwise. Larger operations have also been possible to avoid for some patients.
Approach and implementation
Based on the many positive patient reports it seems clear that there is no difficulty for the users to use, handle or understand the product. Simple and clear buttons and controls as well as obvious pictures on the screen on the control unit make handling easy. The adjustable Base is both stable and flexible, without demanding any large effort from the user. Newly designed accessories will further ease handling and use of the product.
