Important results from the project
This project focus on developing applied algorithms to enhance functionality and performance for a number of Saabs Mission Support systems. Applications of importance are mission support for civil security products, for Gripen, UAVs, Ground missile systems and joint operations
Expected long term effects
The Impact for MAI is mainly that inspiring industrial problems is brought to the examination from an optimization point of view, which will stregthened MAI´s position as a research institution and as a partner to the industry. Saab is taking advantage in terms of a product boost related to the value-added research.
Approach and implementation
The project is performed in collaboration between Saab and Linköping University, Department of Mathematics. Initially there is an analyze phase where Saab is specifying the problem formulation. Thereafter MAI is making the analysis and synthesis and finally both MAI and Saab is taking part in the work of bringing analytic results back to the set up of products.
