Purpose and goal

A test bed for edtech is an essential tool for developing school, education and learning so that we get citizens who are well-educated throughout their lives and who contribute to a sustainable democratic society. Our study has shown that a test bed is needed to bring education closer to digital development. A prerequisite for a test bed for edtech to become a reality is that it is based on learning needs and accelerates the development of the companies. The project has identified significant value creation among teachers, students, principals and companies.

Expected results and effects

The project has carried out six main activities and identified driving forces for a test bed; that procurement is a cracking issue that a test bed must relate to, which values a test bed must create for testers and test environments in order to function in the long term, that the test bed must be able to guide testers on practice and legislation concerning personal data and standardization and that a test bed needs to be national with an international network in order to be interesting for testers to participate in.

Planned approach and implementation

For six months, the project has carried out workshops, surveys, study visits, interviews and discussed with experts and stakeholders. The activities have been carried out in accordance with the plan and fulfilled expectations. In parallel, the project has established contacts with edtech startups, authorities, stakeholders and educational actors both nationally and internationally. We can state that there is a development of test beds in several parts of the world as our test bed should have an exchange with.
