Important results from the project

MegaM@Rt2 gave MDH the opportunity to expand its collaboration with BT, VCE and European partners. MDH was able to experiment with new methods and tools for model-based validation of the train control management system as well as variability management of the engine control systems at VCE. MDH was able to fulfill this in strong cooperation with BT, VCE and other European partners like Smartesting (France). MDH worked with BT and VCE to test the new methods and tools on their use case scenarios.

Expected long term effects

Together with BT and VCE, MDH experimented with new tools for model-based development and validation of the train control management system as well as variability management of the engine control systems. These tools were either provided by the consortium or developed by MDH. The tools’ evaluation on BT’s and VCE’s use case scenarios resulted in improvements across the development and validation phases.

Approach and implementation

MDH coordinated the project and was thus deeply involved in all parts of the project. There was active participation of the Swedish cluster in the project. A total of 13 Swedish cluster meetings were conducted over the course of 3 years, where the project results were presented. This is in addition to the European-wide plenary meetings held twice every year. MDH cooperation with industry and work package leaders went alright throughout the project. This is reflected in completed deliverables. MDH was also able to validate several tool prototypes on BT and VCE use case scenarios.
