Important results from the project
The project has aimed to establish a competence hub in the field of embedded systems. The goal has been to carry out activities to create awareness of the skills hub via Smartare Elektroniksystem and with other relevant companies and organizations. Additional goals with the competence hub have been to compile key challenges for embedded systems, identify gaps in the value chains and work for improved collaboration between actors. The competence hub has also aimed to provide feedback to existing and future educations and competence supply.
Expected long term effects
The project has participated in several matchmaking events organized by Smartare Elektronikssystems, and visited center formations with connections to embedded systems to inform and acquire additional knowledge about needs and related activities aimed at strengthening the area. The effects of the project can be considered to be an increased understanding of trends, technologies and methods for the development of embedded systems in Swedish industry, as well as the connection of challenges and needs in that industry to undergraduate and further education.
Approach and implementation
The project has focused on preparing and implementing information days with other competence hubs, inventorying challenges and needs with web research and through meetings and discussions with stakeholders in the form of primarily consulting companies active in the area and center formations connected to the area. The implementation has worked well in the sense that information has been able to be obtained and fed back to undergraduate and further education. The support back to the industry has been provided through information meetings, direct contacts and online.
