Purpose and goal

The goal was to develop an agricultural management solution which works as a decision support system for farmers and agricultural companies in order to maximize their production and minimize their cost.The main result of the project is a licensed based platform, Agricultural Management System AMS, is ready to be provided to farmers, agricultural machinery manufacturing companies and other market players in the agricultural industry.

Expected results and effects

The main result of the project is a licensed platform, AMS, ready to be provided to farmers and other market players in the agricultural industry.Product have been tested with selected farmers in Turkey. Verifications of the collected data were made. Phenological stages of plants were followed and tests were made in the chosen wheat and barley fields.The accuracy of the results of the implementations was investigated, tested and approved. When more crops in different countries and regions are registered in the database, the decision support system will be enriched and more efficient.

Planned approach and implementation

AMS is a cloud platform. Due to the development of data collection technologies and changing protocols (NB-IoT, 5G, etc.), innovations should be followed and the system needs enhancements regularly. Machinery manufacturers should consider the technology advancement in the ICT industry. They should adapt the manufactuing equipments enabling these capabilities and start interact with automated cloud systems. Farmers need to be enlightened on the advantages of using new technologies. The information flow among all players in the agricultural industry should be seamless.
