Important results from the project
The project aims at reduced CO2 emissions from road transports. The goal is to reduce the fuel consumption and thereby also reduce the emission of CO2 by 25%.
Expected long term effects
We have shown that the fuel consumption and the CO2 emissions can be lowered with 27% compared to European Standard vehicle combinations. The solutions shown in this project would give a substantial positive effect on the Swedish set goal to reduce the CO2 emissions.
Approach and implementation
The project has built two high capacity vehicle combinations with increased load volume by increasing the vehicle combination length. One has been in a 18 month virtually hassle free field test running between Göteborg and Malmö with Generally Cargo. The other is built and waits for permission from the authorities to be operated on public roads.
