Purpose and goal

The Trip Cruncher, output of the Vinnova open innovation project, is a unique online service merging both the Cruncho aggregated global travel content with the IBM Watson artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning capacities, to deliver in just a few seconds, relevant recommendations of things to do, events to attend and places to visit in a city, based on personal interests and the purpose of the trip.

Expected results and effects

The Trip Cruncher we have conceptualised, designed and produced is quick and easy to implement on any client website and delivers instant value to their users. By offering them the possibility to easily plan and share their trip, our clients increase their ability to convert website visitors into real city visitors and ambassadors. This service is highly relevant for city tourism boards, airlines, airports, hotel chains, online travel agencies and more.

Planned approach and implementation

The cooperation between the three companies part of the project has worked very well since the beginning. Time efficiency, cost consciousness and quality in the preparation and production phases ensured the respect of both the time frame, budget and delivery. We will continue to partner together after the end of this project.
