Purpose and goal
The results fulfill the two main purposes of the project in a) Despite representing different stages of development, the participants have got models for handling leadership challenges that turned out to be generic operationally. They have also created a mutual terminology and definition of tasks as process leaders. b) The mature Initiatives confirmed a need for individual models for how you can lead for innovation. All initiatives were encouraged to develop what they initially had regarded as legitimacy necessities, but are actually embryos to develop as operational resources.
Results and expected effects
The results are three kinds of tools: processual, conceptual and visual. Recurrent workshop meetings that focused the participants´ problems strengthened a value-based leadership, which represent the process result. Second, an analysis of process leadership resulted in a conceptualization, including a terminology in common regarding the responsibility in a long-term perspective. Finally, artifacts were confirmed and developed as valuable attributes for pursuing and organizing innovation over time.
Approach and implementation
The results emerged from different activities. Workshops were carried out with two smaller groups. Ahead of the meetings the project leaders interacted with the participants to identify mutual interests and challenges. Individual contacts were taken afterwards too, for follow-up and elaborating on details. This approach enabled individual benefits and yielded a holistic contextual understanding for the leader challenges. The interplay of contact forms also constituted analytical steps of the results. No on-site visits were made with consideration to the participants´ time.
