Important results from the project

The aim of the project was to map the stakeholders and their needs in the field of health data use as part of clinical treatment of chronic deceases, identify a high potential solution, form a consortium and create a realization plan. The purpose of this project was to investigate the prerequisites for a possible forthcoming UDI Stage 2 project. The project has fulfilled both objectives and purpose, and it is the project´s perception that there is a good prerequisite for successfully completing a Step 2.

Expected long term effects

The impact targets that the project addresses is that it partly; 1) Provides new opportunities for different actors and performers to meet the challenges of healthcare because different forms of health data can be utilized in new ways in many different ways. 2) Help the patients to partner and participate in their own and others´ care 3) Create new growth opportunities for Swedish business in a global fast-growing area

Approach and implementation

In an open and inclusive process, the work has been carried out in a number of work packages and has also included a number of workshops with the primary focus areas´ needs and knowledge as well as consortium building. A major focus has been on mapping and understanding the needs of the primary user groups and on the environment monitoring. The initiation phase´s implementation largely followed the planned process enl. application for Step 1 Furthermore, cooperation between the participating partners has been strengthened and deepened, together with the reinforced consortium.
