Reference number
Coordinator Lunds universitet - LU Open
Funding from Vinnova SEK 600 000
Project duration July 2013 - October 2014
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the Agenda has been to initiate and formulate a dialog and needs analysis between stakeholders working with social innovation in Sweden. The field is wide and has fluid boundaries, and stakeholders are plentiful. Still, we believe that we have established or deepened a dialog with many important stakeholders in the filed. We have worked with over 60 organizations and engaged over 100 people in the agenda, and we present 4 focus areas which we argue deserves strengthened activities and efforts - knowledge; organization & democratization; financing; and competence.

Results and expected effects

The main result is a well established agenda published in print and digitally. Other results are new or deepened collaborations and relations with various organizations across Sweden. The project organizations expect that the agenda will lead to a number of applications and formalized collaborations with stakeholders from all sectors. As a result from the agenda work a three year pilot project between Inclusive Business Sweden and Lund University (LU Open) has been approved.

Approach and implementation

The work has been led by a working group consisting of project representatives from the three main project partners: Lund University, Malmö University, and Centre for Social Entrepreneurship Sweden who have conducted regular project meetings. 4 workshops were carried out: 2 in Lund and Malmö in January, 1 in May in Lund and 1 in Stockholm in september 2014, as well as interviews with around 20 individuals working with social innovation. The rest of the work has consisted of literature studies, business intelligence through meeting attendance and editing of the agenda.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
