Purpose and goal
The project is a pilot for the concept development, launch and evaluation of a new funding instrument for Crowdfunding. Project goals: 1) Concept development with concept applicable to, at least one, platform for crowdfunding. 2) Executed pilot and call, selected, approved and financed projects Documented and analyzed results. Project goals have been successfully achieved.
Results and expected effects
The result of the project, besides the achieved project goals, was a lower degree of applications then expected. The impact goal for the project was to contribute to a higher degree of applications. ICT entrepreneurs seemed not to consider crowd funding as an attractive method of financing. The Stockholm School of Economics was asked to research these indicators and try to explain why traditional crowd funding did not seem to attract ICT entrepreneurs. The paper is made available to the general public.
Approach and implementation
Concept development and execution of the project followed the general planning without incident. The platforms made modifications to their systems to meet the projects technical demands within the time frame. A wide range of stakeholders were invited to feedback the concept and, generally, the concept was received in a positive spirit. The execution of the project went according to plan without incidents.
