Purpose and goal
The focus of the project is competence needs connected to digitalization in companies. The companies need different competences in different phases/stages. A method for companies to identify their competence needs in these different phases /stages as well as their competence gaps, and to plan how to begin to fill these gaps, is to be developed. The goal is that the method can be used by external process leaders/coaches as well as by the companies themselves.
Expected results and effects
The direct project result is a method for mainly small and medium-sized enterprises in the automotive industry. The method will be documented for those companies that want to do the work on their own as well as for external process leaders/coaches. It is also planned to be made available as a module within Produktionslyftet’s (the Production Leap’s) coaching methodology. An expected effect is that the need for complementary competences in companies will be made visible and that companies begin to fill the competence gap that is visualized.
Planned approach and implementation
Initially, an overview is made of similar working methods and illustrative examples that can contribute to the work. The development of the method is done iteratively, where development work is being done and tested in companies before the method is adjusted and supplemented and tested in additional companies. The working method is documented in a manual. The target group is primarily small and medium-sized companies that are suppliers in the automotive industry. A reference group with representatives from FKG members will be utilized during the project.
