Purpose and goal

The goal of the project was to continue the development of a digital decision support platform within the agriculture industry. The project has resulted in a first version of a digital decision support platform. The platform has been demonstrated to potential customers such as traders and industries who all have shown great interest in the product. The project also resulted in an established IP-strategy and a market analysis that can support future strategic decisions.

Expected results and effects

A data-driven decision-making platform has been developed and presented to potential customers within the agricultural sector. The system is able to provide data-driven decision-support that are better than anything else on the market and that in the future will be able to reduce the risk in the industry especially given the drought that took place in 2018. The application has been evaluated and demonstrated to farmers, mills, traders and major industries in Sweden.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has followed the defined work packages. An iterative process has been applied from the beginning where the customer dialogue has intensified as the results of the modeling have become more clear over time. Feedback has regularly been gathered from various actors to verify the need and who the first customers might be. The project has shown endless possibilities, but to be able to launch a first working version of the platform in time, the scope was narrowed down to focus on a smaller group of customers consisting of larger traders and industries.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
