Purpose and goal

The project was carried out according to the objectives defined in the project start report. During matchmaking events, Mr. Michael Salter and Dr. Qin Wang presented RISE and a list for searching partnership on fields of life-science, Traffic safety and applied ICT. The matched Chinese partners have been identified for writing joint proposals to 2019 Vinnova-Most call. Several Skype and weChat meetings have been arranged between RISE and Jitri and Transportation at Southeast University regarding definition of the joint project objectives and organization of the consortium.

Expected results and effects

Thank Vinnova together with MOST organizes the matchmaking events in China we have got two possibilities to write joint project proposals to Vinnova-MOST call in 2019. One is teaming with Intelligent Sensor Research Institute, one of the institutes in frame of Jrtri (Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, http://en.jitri.org/), and another with the School of Transportation at Southeast University in Nanjing in frame of traffic safety. For long term collaborations both RISE and Jitri would like to consider signing a MOU for getting more possibilities having joint work.

Planned approach and implementation

The project was carried as planned and both international partners and Swedish partners were obtained as expected. RISE as Swedish Research Institutes was presented in the matchmaking events in Beijing, Nanjing and Shanghai, and got good outreach channels to Chinese colleagues in related field. Solid contacts have beeb established. In addition, the members in the delegation also had active interaction, and agreed to search opportinties to get colloboartions.
