Important results from the project

The overall aim is to explore, test and evaluate the opportunities that digitization offers to improve the Swedish alarm services. The goal is to demonstrate and show how new information technologies can facilitate for callers, providing more accurate assessments and priorities, enabling more effective information sharing and create a safer society. By bringing together leading business representatives, industry stakeholders and researchers, we have identified the priority needs for the next project step.

Expected long term effects

The project deliverables from step 1 is a final report with attachments that primarily describes: -The results from the completion of the needs and situation analysis and a description of how the fully developed project idea and the identified solutions will be developed during the next project step -A project plan for how step 2 should be carried out in terms of organization, responsibilities and planned activities -A preliminary project agreement that includes all parties associated with the project We estimate that we achieved the results we sought and have a good base to start step 2.

Approach and implementation

We have had several project management meetings to plan all activities during step 1. Stakeholders from academia, industry, government, county councils, police and emergency services were ivited to participate early in the needs analysis. Two workshops with all stakeholders has been carried out in order to find the most prioritized needs. Twenty organizations have participated. The work process has worked well and we have identified the areas considered most important to work with. All parties involved in the consortium is also very well suited for the task.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
