Important results from the project
The Data Innovation Arena aims to develop at least 20 new ICT-based service solutions built on multiple streams of data. The application area is ´people on the move in the city and region´. The consortium has been handpicked to jointly complement each other´s profile and function, this in order to overcome any possible political and/or technical obstacle. In the long run, the aim is to develop ICT based services that can compete on the international market arena.
Expected long term effects
This project aims to strengthen the impact of the public transportation´s functionality and service through the development of user-friendly ICT services being built on multiple streams of open or user generated data, The services shall help to increase the impact of public transport but could also be designed to increase citizens´ engagement through interaction and feed-back with so called Super Users, i.e citizens and end user travelling in the area. The goal is thereby to demonstrate the potential of this new market segments provided through the increased accessibility of data.
Approach and implementation
This project will go from innovative concept development to the testing of prototypes and then all the way to verified proof-of-of-concept. Through open innovation, end-user dialogue & test, we work with various complementary models for concept development and optimization. The aim is to creatte enhanced models for iterative ICT based product development. With the aim to develop internationally competitive applications, the project will place great demands on the user-oriented design, and real prototype development which is clearly reflected in the formation of the project.
