Purpose and goal
The purpose of the batonomous project (autonomous navigation in GPS-deprived, light-deprive, infrastructure-deprived spaces) has been met to an extent. There is a significant degree to which the drone can autonomously position and navigate itself. There still exits limitations in communications, platform, and payload, as well as room for advancement to further autonomy.
Expected results and effects
We were able to execute several demos, including to potential clients, where we showed the system : including the current state of autonomy , ground station and mapping capacity. So a beta version of the technology now exits.
Planned approach and implementation
The realistic budget for such development are theoretically much higher than what we managed with, so we believe the time and cost investment were very efficient to achieve the current results.
