Purpose and goal
Innovation support systems of today are developed and designed to fit the innovations process and commercialisations process in natural science and technology, where patent and linear business and product development are common. This project aimed to increase knowledge, relevant to the innovation support system, about the new cultural and creative industries specific needs. Based on more than 40 in depth interviews, focus groups and questionnaire, a developed approached Open Ice is presented
Results and expected effects
Based on the research questions; future need of competencies, the role of the entrepreneur and new roles and new working processes for business coaches different path of analysis has been conducted and a model of a moderated innovation support system has been proposed. The proposal has the ide and the enterpreneur in focus and is labeled Open ICE, (i.e. Innovative, Co-creative, Ecosystem).
Approach and implementation
In this project data has been collected in five different ways. The results has been generated through different means of analysis; challenges for market driven and academic driven start-ups; the conflicting role of the entrepreneur and the researcher; the fostering effect of a second job/side activity (bisyssla) on enterpreneurship; and cognitive mapping.
