Coordinator AppBooster Sweden AB - AppBooster Sweden, Stockholm
Funding from Vinnova SEK 375 000
Project duration November 2013 - March 2014
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The aim was for AppBooster to develop the technology and business model for the distribution of mobile apps for businesses. The goal was to develop a technology that makes it easier for companies to spread their apps with a unique content, ´Application Identification´. This was fulfilled in that we can now offer this to companies to make it easier for them to get more people to use their apps and be able to send out those with unique content and get statistics on how apps are used. We have already presented this to the market with good feedback that this technology is wanted and needed.

Expected results and effects

The result is that AppBoosters innovation has become integrated into our existing products. We have also developed the app catalogues that would work for iOS, Android and Windows. This gives potential customers the ability to to easily distribute their apps with a high security. The response we received when we presented the technology to potential customers has exceeded our expectations and we have strong incentives that this will generate more customers for AppBooster.

Planned approach and implementation

The project started with a feasibility study and verification of the existing platform, having taken up the architecture for ´Application Identification´ and then integrated with our cloud-based products. Development of the Beta version was made and app directories for iOS, Android, Windows and Blackberry. After that developed the first software that was then tested by several users. The problems that appeared in the test phase were corrected so that the system worked smoothly.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
