Purpose and goal

The purpose of Läraktiv has been to support teachers for the best possible teaching with digital tools, and content. We have tested, developed and introduced working methods and tools for active learning. About 200 teachers have created accounts and courses in Scalable Learning, which means we exceeded the final goal of the project of 100 teachers who would work with flipped learning during the project. We have conducted dozens of workshops with municipalities, 8 with teacher students, 3 webcasts with SKL and published over 20 instructional films.

Expected results and effects

Läraktiv have strengthened the digitization of Swedish schools by introducing evidence-based methods (primarily flipped learning) as well as materials and digital tools. We have conducted workshops with teachers and published more than 20 instructional films that introduce various digital tools (such as screen capture programs, crossword programs, simulations in science, etc.), and participated in conferences and fairs. We have also conducted 3 webcasts with SKL. In addition, we have worked to provide teacher students with knowledge about digital tools and working methods.

Planned approach and implementation

Swedish schools needs to be digitized but teachers are often uncertain of how. They are lacking structure and often they do not know how to work with digital tools and working methods in their own subject. Through Läraktiv, we have tested and introduced evidence-based tools and methods, through workshops we have been able to allow teachers to test and practice, and through instructional films we have reached far beyond the directly involved municipals. Teacher students are often even more unprepared so it has been extra rewarding to meet them and introduce digital tools and methods.
