Important results from the project

The aim with the feasability study was to examine the possibillities for the municipality of Höör to work together with the institution of Design Science at LTH in Lund in order to build a test laboratory to be able to test new ideas and innovations, coming från the ongoing innovation investment in the elderly care. The target with the project was to produce a decision support and to take the decision weather to develop and deploy such a test laboratory or not. With a positive decision the project should plan for the test laboratory and seek financial support from Vinnova, and so has been done.

Expected long term effects

The feasability study has come out with a plan for the project, a survey of the existing resources available in the elderly care in the municipality of Höör and at the Instution of Design Science at LTH in Lund. The project group has examined possible structure, functionality and organisation for a flexible test lab suited to the conditions. Methodology and possible processes fot these tests and furthermore lockage to the surrounding innovation system and implementation in operation and business have been examined. The result is an implementation plan, a budget and financing proposal.

Approach and implementation

The acitivities in the project plan have been completed. Surveys, studies and tests have been done through tailor made work shops, meetings and visits between coworkers in the elderly care in Höör and researchers at the Institution of Science at LTH. Evaluations have been done at the steering meetings where results from the work of the project group have been presented. The ongoing innovation project in the elderly care in Höör has generated numerous ideas to match with the resources at Designvetensskaper at LTH. These meetings have shown a great potential.
