Call Normcritical Innovation : Innovation project

Purpose and goal

Jobblabb is a norm-critical innovation project that gives schools as well as study and career counsels tools to work with conscious career choices at a younger age. The aim is fulfilled in making an interactive exhibition. A norm-creative method for conceptualizing professions and skills has extensively been tested. Several companies have contributed to the development of cases that will in the future be replaced and developed in the coming years. In the exhibition, the children get to know the Job heroes, test different activities and explore their own interests and skills.

Expected results and effects

The project has resulted in an exhibition and in developing a norm- creative method. The design of professions and abilities has been tested through exercises with 280 children from different social backgrounds at 7 schools. In addition, 100 teachers / principals / study and career counselors have participated. The exhibition opened in February 2020 and has a school program aimed at grade 5. Jobblabb contribute to broader horizons for future career choices. There are good opportunities for continued follow-up and children visiting the exhibition in the coming years.

Planned approach and implementation

An interdisciplinary reference group has been part of the project and contributed with the development of norm-creative methods for testing and evaluation. The design of the concept Job Heroes has been inspired by the RIASEC model, which focuses on abilities and motivation. The museum has collaborated with the municipalities in Östergötland, Region Östergötland, Linköping University, Holmen Paper AB, Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB, Toyota Material Handling and Jobba Grent / Vreta Kluster.
