Purpose and goal
The project has succeeded in developing a common set of requirements from a traffic operator perspective and has effectively improved the knowledge picture of real conditions associated with the technical possibilities that exist. The project has verified technical feasibility through several pilot applications within crowdsourcing and travel patterns. The project partners have together paved the way for further development of business models and functions, for improved passenger collaboration and the support of long-term planning and traffic expansion.
Expected results and effects
With well-implemented pilot applications, the project has shown that it worked technically and conceptually, both the collection of voluntary data for traveler patterns and improved traveler collaboration. The project has also contributed to the use of crowdsourcing in the public transport industry as a concept, outside the framework of the project. With the help of the technical test bed that has been developed, the project has contributed to an increased understanding of business values and established practical experience for future development.
Planned approach and implementation
The project has been conducted in several well-separated work packages, some have been ongoing throughout the project, where reconnections took place through iterations, so that work packages close to implementation can provide iterative decision-making with partial results. The focus has been on collaboration with workshops as well as physical and digital meetings. There have also been activities in the field, in collaboration with the traffic operator Keolis in Värmland.
