Purpose and goal

The development of waste management systems in Sweden has been very successful and the results are unique from an international point of view. A success factor for this has, among other things, been the cooperation that is established between the various players, and that has generated the creation of world leading solutions for waste management. The aim of this project is to develop an agenda for how the export of Swedish waste solutions can increase, by innovations based on customer needs developed to fit export markets.

Results and expected effects

An offer that through innovation is adapted to the customer need is expected to have a larger impact on the market. An increased exportvolume will influence the economical growth and competitiveness for swedish companies in a positive way. The co-operation that will be established is expected to have favorable effects for further improvement of the efficiency of swedish waste management system.

Approach and implementation

The project is organized within the framework of the ongoing development of a strong platform for export of Swedish waste management knowledge and technology. Thereby the feasibility, created networks and relations as well as competence within the area is safeguarded. Tasks performed has been to establish a network with public and private actors within export, to create a swedish offer and to create conditions for co-operation by developing tools and business models. Studies of customer needs has been performed and analysed against the swedish offer.
