Visualizing osteoarthritis and other degenerative cartilage conditions

Purpose and goal

BioOptico develops and licenses a new type of image processing algorithms to arthroscopy camera manufacturers. We have developed an algorithm that can detect and enhance early structural, degenerative stages of cartilage. Such changes are important predictors of osteoarthritis. This method may be a break-through in the arthroscopy field. This project is about development, clinical validation and protection of the new method. We already collaborate with a leading American camera manufacturer, who is our preferred licensee.
