Purpose and goal
The project has aimed to facilitate and implement the commercial and technical validation and verification of research-based business concepts. We are continually working to optimize the conditions required to proceed with the verification program, and consider that we have a well-functioning process.
Results and expected effects
We expected that we would verify 30-50 projects during 2014 and we started 52 projects, of which 10 were so-called continuation projects, ie, follow-up activities at the former VFT project. Several of the projects we started in VFT-phase has subsequently received both major grants and investments and thus proved to be commercially prepared. Furthermore, the project has continued to allow that we have a closer dialogue with local, national and international consultants and competencies, and built up a bank of actors.
Approach and implementation
The process for VFT has evolved over the years we coordinated the project. The process is run in close dialogue with the Innovation Office and together with innovators in iteration. Each project is designed so that based on the background that exist in the project, the most important verification questions are formulated. Verification activities are designed to the best possible extent answer the verification questions and increase the commercial potential of the project.
