Project duration December 2015 - June 2017
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The overall goal of the project is that SKL offers a verified distance-independent support for local innovation work in 2017 based on user needs. A pilot project was run with 9 municipalities / county councils where SKL´s innovation model was developed into Innovationsguiden.se in combination with a support process with training and coaching. By 2017, a business model has been developed to ensure long-term work. About 60 project groups will begin their projects in the autumn of 2017, thereby contributing to the financing of the central business.

Expected results and effects

The project was initially run by nine municipalities / county councils. Later 35 project groups were added through a cooperation between the Ministry of Social Affairs and SKL. This has meant that the working method has been tested with considerably more activities than expected. At the same time, it means that working methods, etc., have been developed to handle increased demand. By the end of 2018, 100 projects are estimated to have gone through the Innovation Guidelines development program.

Planned approach and implementation

A pilot project was run with nine municipalities / county councils where SKL´s innovation model was developed into Innovationsguiden.se in combination with a support process with training and coaching. The development is the fruit of a collaboration between SKL and the Swedish Industrial Design Foundation (SVID). By combining the parties´ strengths and know-how, a new service has been developed and spread.
