Purpose and goal

1. Sharper focus on customer value and increased use of Value Creation Forums. 2. Business concepts are built and documented step-wise to enable learning for idea owners, business coaches and externals resources connected to the projects. 3. Activity plans in approved projects, with the opportunity to redirect verification activities when necessary, in order to reduce risks associated with the project.

Results and expected effects

The project is assumed to have increased the quality of the ideas that are taken forward in the commercialization process. One outcome has been that idea-owners and business-coaches early in the process focuses on understanding the needs of the potential customer. Activity plans have been developed, as well as documentation and monitoring of project decisions and verification activities, and we have increased the foundation for learning as business concepts developed.

Approach and implementation

Uminova Holding AB has collaborated with Innovationskontor Norr, Umeå Biotech Incubator, Uminova Innovation and with CENTEK AB. The VFT project has been developed using the NABC-modell and VCF´s have been arranged within the incubators. The VFT-group has expanded with complementary expertise and has worked more operational towards the projects and business coaches. We have implemented action plans with step-wise activities within approved VFT project.
