Purpose and goal

So far, within the Production Leap (Produktionslyftet) about 260 companies has improved their operational capability, organization and corporate culture. Accelerated technical progress leads to extended need to take digitalization issues into account, which was the rationale for this project. It has resulted in a revision of the program methodology, where challenges related to digitalization, as well as sustainability issues, are addressed throughout the process. Further revisions are projected.

Expected results and effects

The first, strategic phase in the Production Leap and the third, stabilization phase has been revised. When identifying and agreeing upon overall objectives, ambitions, challenges, priorities etc, digitalization is now an integrated issue. Also, the project has developed modules addressing specific digitalization topics, e.g. data structuring, cyber security or automation. The revised methodology is now applied by coaches, reporting good results. More time is needed to record end effects.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has gathered experiences from organizations and companies working strategically with digitalization, in Sweden as well as in Germany, Britain and Norway. Researchers and experts have been commissioned by the project to give basis for new, revised or complementary content in workshops and tools. The coaches and actors within the Production Leap have discussed possible development and suggested content. Substantial effort has been given to the pedagogical formation.
