Purpose and goal

During the period 2014-07-01 to 2016-12-31 was the transportable demonstration plant for nanocellulose constructed and started up. The purpose of the transportable plant is to offer companies an opportunity to produce nanocellulose in large scale locally for use in full-scale trials in their own facilities. By participating in the RISE ToD TOPUP, the project to build the transportable factory was strengthened in terms of; development of the offer, plan for communication and marketing, as well as a basis for future internationalization.

Expected results and effects

The TOPUP-team attended all training sessions and has been coached by two work packages. A large number of customer discussions have been conducted and a comprehensive workshop. Marketing and communication materials as well as a basis for future internationalization have been developed. A client base of interested companies has been created, and important material for communication with customers have been developed, a User´s Guide.

Planned approach and implementation

The TOPUP-project has in a good way boosted the efforts to build and start up the transportable factory. Through training sessions and coaching, important market challenges have been identified and met together with the technical, which has been good for both implementation of the project and the results. A customer integrated development has been implemented to a greater extent, which has been very positive and the overall learning that has taken place in the development project has led to new insights.
