Purpose and goal

The pilot study refo has exceeded all expectations and goals. We had at the time of application, expected to form a number of advisory boards, identify the need and detail a plan for practical implementation. Instead, we have shifted and gone to more practice and more market testing, by simply building up the IT structure, start collecting clothes, create real partnerships with other players, initiate remake activities, open online store, and more. The response has been tremendous, and now with the end of the project feasibility study, with confidence we take refo further into the future.

Results and expected effects

- Positive feedback from the test market. - Good profitability ratio and buoyancy in business model. - Business plan is being detailed for commercialization in 2013. - Coordination of production by including Folkuniversitetet and Livstycket. - For Mongara and Xelmo great value and internal learning. - A number of people have jobs in the future. - Continuing delivery of clothing packages in Sweden. - Increased recycling of clothes and lessened use of natural resources. - Investment needs assessed. - Commercial collaborations and activities for continued funding initiated.

Approach and implementation

The project is led by two experienced entrepreneurs. David Bauman with heavy technical and Liselotte Norén more flow and market oriented skills. Principles of work participation and that young people apply theoretical skills to practical training under guidance and support. Refo work with advisory boards for testing, verifying ideas and plans for quality assurance. Implementation of the solution is already conducted in practice and commercialization commenced during feasibility study period.
