Purpose and goal
Being the leading competence node for forest-based bio-economy, to position itself internationally as innovation environment and serve as learning example for the transition to a bio-based economy. From the service perspective, focusing on the utilization, realize and industrialize products and services that lead to sustainable grow th and strengthen Sw eden´s competitiveness. Addressing the region´s strengths; developed cooperation, strong production infrastructure, good know ledge of the service perspective and broad user and technical know ledge in forestry.
Expected results and effects
Efficient, sustainable products, services and processes that contribute to a forest-based bio-economy developed and commercialized as w ell as used in our region Open collaborations w ith other clusters, netw orks, academia and institutions, nationally and internationally to jointly create solutions in response to the global climate challenge. Planned approach and implementation
Connect w ith other innovation environments in bio-economy, share know ledge, participate internationally. Become the forest bio-engineering w orkshop w ith experts in commercialization and service innovation. Utilize the region´s complete value chains, get external stakeholders to establish and implement everything from prototypes to full production. Involve many actors in developing and demonstrating innovation to create a regional commitment and mobilization. Competence is a crucial area. Activities for relevant future know ledge, improved equality and diversity.
