Purpose and goal

The purpose of this project was to carry out a part of the process to create a digital teaching aid in the shape of a game, which will increase children´s knowledge about human rights and strengthen their right to participate. The goal was for children, pedagogues, game designers and others to test a prototype for the game, which has been created in a pre-study. In the longer term, the goal of the project is to complete the product. The purpose and goal have been fulfilled.

Expected results and effects

Short-term effects: Test participants learn about human rights (HR). Short-term results: The prototype has been tested by children and others. Long-term effects: A larger number of children and dutybearers learn about HR. New structures for children´s participation are established, through which children may propose solutions to societal challenges. Long-term results: A completed teaching aid, game and platform for dialogue. The short-term effects and results have been fulfilled.

Planned approach and implementation

Project plan: Aug/Sep 2015: The participators in the project create a project group and an action plan for the playtest process. Sep 2015-June 2016: The prototype is tested by children, pedagogues, game designers and others in schools etc. in Gothenburg. Testing is important in order for a game to become meaningful, user-friendly and sustainable. The project plan has been fully implemented.
