Important results from the project
In Sweden wood-related products is an important sector with high export value. However, a high proportion of wood leaves the country in terms of simple sawn boards due to weak forward integration. In order to strengthen the wood industry and its suppliers, the agenda aims to systematically utilize the latest advances in measurement, information and communication technologies for improved processes, material and products including fulfilling the vision ´right piece of wood in the right place´. This will be possible by technological developments and cross-industrial cooperation.
