Testbed Örebro

Purpose and goal

A test bed with the aim, by the end users needs, to capture ideas, test / develop, enable commercialization and exposure of new smart technologies and innovations that prolong elderly and disabled persons independent living and life. The goal with the testbed was to have an established, well-anchored and well-known test bed. The testbed has been established by Örebro Municipality, Örebro County Council, Örebro university and Alfred Nobel science park. The test bed is now established and anchored by an actor constellation that will continue to run the test bed after the end of the Project.

Expected results and effects

An established and well anchored test bed, with an actor constellation that run the test bed after the project ends. There is an established structure for collaboration to meet the needs of persons with ideas to promote the development of solutions / innovations that benefit both the innovator and the end user. The testbed is known at regional, national and international level. Cooperation with innovation support actors for a shorter time from idea-innovation. A clear offer is made for companies involved Estblished collaboration with stakeholders to develop housing for elderly.

Planned approach and implementation

Örebro Municipality, Örebro County Council, Alfred Nobel Science Park & Örebro University has been running the project. The projects steering group with persons from all organizations. The project has been coordinated together with project leader from each org who worked operatively to develop the test bed. A reference group has been tied to the project. There is a structure for cooperation with innovation actors. Processes and routines have been developed for ideas / tests. Focus on the participating org needs for the best solution and test environment to meet the needs of innovators.
